Our History
Situated in the heart of the lowveld on the outskirts of Hoedspruit, Matumi Orchards was established during 2004 as the first empowered farm in the area. Forming part of the Northern Drakensberg, the peak of Mariepskop provides a majestic backdrop whilst the clear Blyde river runs swiftly past the lush orchards.
As a small to medium size agricultural farm of 180 ha, Matumi Orchards cultivates mango (Tommy Atkins, Keitt, Sensation, Osteen, Princess and Tango cultivars) and citrus (lemons, oranges, grapefruit and nova naartjie cultivars) which is marketed into various channels from export and fresh produce markets to delectable pantry products.

The Process
Our seasonal harvest of dried mango is the crown jewel of the farm.
At Matumi Orchards all our mangoes are tree ripened and hand-picked before going through a labour-intensive process to produce our exclusive all-natural, choice grade dried mango.
